Why Aspirin may cause Jaundice?

A) Aspirin displaces bilirubin from binding to albumin there by increasing free bilirubin level which deposits in sclera and skin causing Jaundice (Yellowish discoloration of skin and sclera)

Aspirin (especially in high doses) is toxic to hepatocytes (liver cells) there by reducing the conjugating capacity of hepatocytes thus elevating bilirubin level

(Conjugation helps in clearing bilirubin from blood helps in excretion through urine)
